Forever Florals

Hi friends!  Today I’m sharing the first of this week’s Online Class to Go projects, featuring the Forever Florals bundle.  This card uses a soft, monochromatic colour palette, with the detailed floral die cut the feature of the card.  I’ve layered it over a coordinating cardstock base, creating plenty of interest without needing lots of different colours. From the centre cut out from the large die, I punched a large circle , which I then layered on another circle die cut.

For the focal point, I kept things fairly simple with the sentiment stamped on a die cut label. A small cluster of flowers and leaves, cut from Pastels Shimmer Paper and In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper, tucked behind the label adds just a little colour, while still keeping the soft feel of the card.

A few coordinating embellishments finish everything off and add another small detail around the sentiment.

This is one of those designs that looks quite detailed when it’s finished, but is really just a matter of building up the different layers. You could easily change the sentiment to turn it into a birthday, thank you or friendship card, and the colour combination could be changed to suit whatever you have in your craft room.
