Framed Violets | Easy Cardmaking Idea

Hi friends!

Today I’m sharing another card featuring the Framed Viol;ets bundle, this time with a softer colour palette and another straightforward layout.

I really like how well the combination of Hydrangea Hue and Fresh Freesia worked on this card. The striped Designer Series Paper keeps the background fairly subtle, allowing the layered focal piece to stand out.

For the centre of the card, I’ve die cut a large scalloped oval from In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper and layered with an oval, die cut from Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper , then added the stamped and coloured flowers over the top. 

The sentiment sits across the bottom of the floral image and is layered onto a coordinating piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to help it stand out against the background.

I’ve also added Fresh Freesia Satin ribbon across the card, with a bow to the left of the focal panel. A few small embellishments finish everything off and add a little extra detail without making the card too busy.

This is another useful layout that could easily be changed to suit different occasions. Swap out the sentiment and change the colours of the flowers, cardstock and ribbon, and you could create a completely different version without changing the basic design.
