Pretty Poinsettia Bundle

Hi friends!

Today I’m sharing the final card from this week’s Pretty Poinsettia Online Class to Go, and I’’ve gone with traditional Christmas reds and greens, plus some gold highlights as well.

For this card I combined three stamped poinsettias with lots of die cut foliage, building the arrangement from the top of the card down towards the sentiment. I’ve overlapped the flowers rather than spacing them evenly, which helps create one larger focal point.

The background is kept neutral, but I’ve embossed with the Textured Tree Ring Embossing Folder, to add some extra texture. The gold layer around the outside gives the design a little extra shine and works nicely with the gold in the ribbon.

The Christmas Joy sentiment is quite large, so rather than trying to squeeze it into the floral arrangement, I gave it its own space towards the bottom of the card. A bow at the top of the sentiment piece helps connect it visually with the poinsettias above.

One of the things I like about the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle is how easily you can change the look depending on how you use the flowers. The first card had a horizontal arrangement, yesterday’s card featured the large die cut poinsettias, and this time I’ve created a fuller, cascading arrangement.

You could also make a simpler version using just one or two flowers and fewer leaves if you needed to make lots of Christmas cards.
