Easy Easter Basket

Hi crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing an easy but adorable Easter Basket using the Easter Basket dies (no stamping required!).  This is an easy but fun project.  As I used some of the Easter Joy Specialty DSP for the basket, each side has two die cuts – a second one in Crumb Cake cardstock, adhered to the back of the SDSP die cut, so that you don’t have the bright and colourful side of the Specialty Paper showing (even though I do love the design on the back of this particular piece). This has the added benefit of being able to adhere the die cut grass pieces in between the two die cut pieces, making it look much cleaner and neater.

I used the Shimmer Specialty Paper for the basket weaving strips and the bow. A little hint when weaving the strips – weave in the middle of the basket, then move the strip up or down as needed – it’s much easier in the middle!
