Frosted Pinecone Thinking of You Card

Hi friends!

The Frosted Pinecone Bundle certainly lends itself to Christmas cards, but I wanted this week’s Online Class to Go to show that it doesn’t have to be Christmas at all (besides, Christmas in Australia is in summer, not winter!)

For this card, I’ve used two large pinecones as the main feature, with plenty of die-cut pine branches tucked in behind them.

The colour palette is deliberately quite natural, with Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow doing most of the work. I used the Sunset Shimmer Vellum for the die cut pinecone detail.

I’ve added more texture to the background, with the Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper also adding some glimmer, plus an embossed central. The different finishes add interest and texture while keeping the colours quite neutral.

A simple Neutrals Jute bow works well with the natural feel of the card and gives the pinecone arrangement a finishing touch without making it overly fussy.

I also chose a Thinking of You sentiment rather than a Christmas greeting. That makes this a useful card to have on hand throughout the year, particularly when you want something that isn’t overly floral.
