Pretty Poinsettia card

Hi friends!

For the second project in this week’s Pretty Poinsettia Online Class to Go, I’ve changed things up and let the dies do most of the work.

The large poinsettias are the obvious feature of this card, with all that lovely detail in the petals adding plenty of interest without needing additional stamping or colouring.  This is a feature of the Impressions dies, which add embossed detail to die cut pieces.  I’ve arranged two flowers diagonally across the card, then filled in the spaces around them with die cut leaves.

The white background is embossed with the Rustic Check embossing folderc, which adds texture without introducing another colour or pattern. I also added a narrow silver layer around the outside. It’s only a small detail, but it helps separate the white panel from the card base and adds a little Christmas shine.

The ’Tis the Season sentiment sits inside a Stylish Shapes circle tucked underneath the lower poinsettia. Overlapping the different elements helps everything feel like one arrangement rather than separate flowers and a sentiment.

A few sparkly embellishments finish the card, including larger ones in the centres of the poinsettias..
